At a recent training class, several of us got into a discussion about what are the best and worse interfaces for videoconferencing endpoints. Some longed for the days of the old VTEL tablet/pen interface, some liked the simple interface of the various telepresence panels while others couldn’t stand them. I had my opinions and biases, but it got me to thinking about what all the different designs out there, how much they affect sales and adoption of various endpoints. I haven’t seen any survey or poll results about the best and the worst, so I thought I’d get your opinion on the VTC remotes and interfaces of endpoints that are currently being offered. Vote in the polls below for the best (up to two) and the worst VTC remotes/interfaces (up to two). Please feel free to leave any commentary about why voted the way that you did below in the comments section. If you don’t find your favorite or least favorite, let me know and I’ll add it. Examples of some of the remotes/interfaces are shown below as well.
